The conference will be held at the University of Ottawa, in Canada's national capital. The university is centrally located right downtown, just steps away from the thriving Byward Market, the bustling Rideau Shopping Centre, and, of course, the illustrious Parliament HIll.

Please refer to the university's website for further information. Maps of the campus are available at http://www.uottawa.ca/maps/.

Delegates are responsible for their own transportation from the airport to the hotels and the University of Ottawa. The university is located approximately 15 kilometres from the Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport (click here to see a map).

There is an airport shuttle that goes to most of the downtown hotels. The #97 OC Transpo bus also runs from the airport to the downtown core. Cabs will probably cost about $25 for a one-way trip.

For more information, consult the airport's website

VIA Rail

VIA Rail services Ottawa from Toronto in the west and Montreal in the east.

You can take a cab from the train station to the University or one of the downtown hotels for $10-15. The train station is also on the Transitway, and most westbound OCTranspo busses will take you right downtown.

Driving

Ottawa is located in the southeast corner of Ontario, just over the border from Québec. Take Highway 416 from Highway 401 to get here from southern Ontario, Highway 417 if you're coming from the Montreal region, or Highway 17 from Northern Ontario. We're a 2-hour drive from Montreal and a 5-hour drive from Toronto.
